Measurement principle

Named after the famous physicists Charles Fabry and Alfred Pérot, this interferometer consists of a cavity between the end of the optical fiber and a reflective membrane.

The application of pressure at the level of the membrane causes the length of the cavity thus formed to vary and modifies the interference signal measured.

The main advantage is that this new sensor can be directly connected to our BraggLogger® optical interrogator for data acquisition and processing.
